Professor Gail S. Goodman, Distinguished Professor of psychology and Director of the Center for Public Policy Research is at University of California Davis. She is widely credited with initiating the contemporary science-based study of children's memories of eyewitnesses and children's victim witnesses within court situations. Professor Goodman, who has many papers and awards to her credit she is also the winner of a variety of international and national awards. She has provided advice on policy and research to many agencies and departments across the world. She serves as a consultant for the Special Assault Forensic Evaluation Center (formerly Multidisciplinary Interview Center) of the Sacramento County Child Protective Services. She is a member of several professional associations including those of the Association for Psychological Science and American Psychological Association. (Divisions Experimental Psychology Developmental Psychology Society for Children and Families policy and practice American Psychology Law Society Psychology of Women and Traumatic Stress 56) Professor Goodman is a member of Psychonomics Society, the Psychonomics Society Society for Research in Child Development American Professional Society on the Abuse of Children as a founding Member, International Society for the prevention of child abuse and Neglect and the International Society for Traumatic Stress Studies. Professor Goodman was the head of the The American Psychological Association's 3 divisions, Division American Psychology Law Society, Division Developmental Psychology and Division Society for Family and Child Policy and Practice.
